Ooh, new gym smell!

Looks like Chuze is at it again! We're seeing them open up several clubs in 2023 and 2024—and we're all for it! Here are the key things you need to know:

Just outside Pasadena, California, residents of Rosemead, Alhambra, San Mario and Temple City are gonna love this new location.
Brand spanking new from Chuze means fresh equipment, clean surfaces and pristine facilities. Wait—that's nothing new to the brand at all. We're spoiled by these very same standards from Chuze—for all their clubs.
Anyway, new is still new, and we're excited to see them bring their A-game. We spy a Chuze outdoor workout area, Chuze Cinema, Hydromassage, Tanning, Infrared & Traditional Sauna and... the Chuze Blends juice bar!

This is quite a strong offering, it's rare to see all of these amenities in one place. Like we said: A-game from Chuze here.

Don't forget, all the standard fitness goodies are available at this club as well: cardio machines, free weights, group fitness, locker rooms, showers and more.
We don't see a pool, nor basketball court, if that's your thing.

Awesome! Temple City's newest gym

Chuze Fitness in Temple City, California officially opened on December 14, 2023! At the time, it was their 23rd location in California and 13th in the Los Angeles region.

Amenities and services are abundant here, giving nearby competitors Planet Fitness and LA Fitness a run for their money.

Lots to love: plenty of amenities

Sooo many at this club. Our favorites include the outdoor workout area, Chuze Cinema (cardio + movies), Kids Club and the Chuze Blends juice bar. Awesome variety—and usually what we expect to see from a top notch chain like Chuze.

All the standard stuff is included too, of course.

Cardio equipment: treadmills, ellipticals and stair-masters
Strength training: free weights and machines
Kettle bells, stretch bands, exercise/stability balls
"Extended Free Weights" which is usually Olympic lifting stations. We see Chuze adding this to other newer locations as well.

Note that the aqua amenities are limited here.

No pool and no whirlpool/hot-tub.
(A steam room, and two types of sauna are included though!)

Alright. How much is this gonna cost?

Most Chuze clubs have memberships that range from $10 to $40 per month, with prices highly dependent on location, market, amenities and services offered.

To kick off 2025, current deal includes a 12 month commitment aka 1-year contract. You would pay:

Basic - $9.99/month
Premium - $19.99/month
More - $29.99/month
Chuze Max - $49.99/month

These are awesome prices, making Chuze Temple City extremely competitive to nearby Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness. You do get quite a bit more going with Chuze, as many of the amenities listed aren't even available with the locations mentioned above.

The gym features an excellent selection of cardio equipment, cycling options, and a dedicated turf area, perfect for functional training. Weight training enthusiasts will find a well-equipped area with dumbbells and an Olympic platform for squats and deadlifts. Additionally, personal training services and complimentary Wi-Fi make it easy for members to stay connected and receive expert guidance.

Stunning outdoor workout area at this location. Along with their turf, medicine balls, kettle bells and poly boxes are available. Full body workouts FTW!

Aqua Services Explained

For those looking to unwind post-workout, Chuze Fitness offers a sauna and steam room, providing ideal spaces for relaxation and recovery. Showers and locker rooms are also available, ensuring that members can freshen up with ease. It's a great place to recharge after a tough workout.

Group Fitness Activities

Group fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the wide variety of shared fitness activities offered. From Les Mills Body Combat and Cardio Kickboxing to yoga and Zumba, the options cater to many interests. With dedicated Group Training sessions, members can stay motivated and engaged while working out in a social environment.

Well this is pretty cool. The Lift Lab is a separate, energetic space that'll test your strength. Available exclusively at just 10 Chuze locations (as of January 2025).

Services and Features

Chuze Fitness also includes wellness and recovery amenities to enhance the fitness experience. Members can enjoy a smoothie and shake bar for post-workout nutrition, as well as relaxing massage chairs. Tanning services are available for those looking to maintain a sun-kissed glow. The gym even has a retail area for purchasing workout gear and essentials.
