Amenities offered at UFC Gym

UFC Gyms are a bit of an outlier—in the greatest and best way possible. Combining combat/team elements with traditional gym amenities, you get a very competitive package. Here's what you can expect to see from the hybrid:

  • 85% of their locations feature workout turf—we count 60 of 71 gyms.
  • 73% of their locations have an Olympic lifting station—that's 52 of 71 gyms.
  • 42% of UFC locations have a sauna. We count 30 of 71 gyms as a place to heat up at.

Members also get access to standard gym offerings like:

  • Free weights with benches
  • Cardio machines (ellipticals, stair-masters, treadmills)
  • Strength machines of various sorts

While we don't have exact stats on this (yet), expect several (or many) of UFC gyms to feature mats, heavy bags, boxing and Octagon areas.

Here's what we love about UFC Gym

We appreciate the strong connection between combat sports, training methods, coaches, and conventional gym tools and services. This distinctive gym franchise successfully integrates all these elements into a powerful, comprehensive brand.

  • The idea behind a hybrid gym chain is to combine traditional weightlifting and cardio equipment with innovative classes that incorporate kickboxing, MMA, and other combat sports.

  • Spacious gyms typically span around 38,000 square feet. Additional benefits include various locations equipped with mats and Octagons.

  • We’re thrilled to see that they’ve incorporated saunas into their facilities, boasting a total of 30 across all locations. This is a fantastic option for warming up or unwinding after a workout!

Here are the things we wish UFC Gym would improve

UFC Gym boasts a remarkable array of services and facilities, but there are a few enhancements we’d love to see added.

  • There is now a clearer understanding of the various gym tiers available. These include UFC Fit, UFC Class, and UFC Gym, each located at different sites.

  • UFC gyms have dedicated more attention to their six pools and five hot tubs, emphasizing the importance of these aqua recovery features. Incorporating such amenities would certainly present a formidable challenge to larger gym franchises.

  • They have added additional photos for every location on their website. We genuinely want to check out the weights, mats, cardio equipment, and Octagon spaces.

How much does it cost to join UFC Gym?

While UFC Gyms do present a higher price point compared to other mid-tier fitness options, they remain within reach for many individuals. The entry-level "Fitness" membership starts at $49 per month, although most locations set it at $59 per month. Upgrading to the "Challenger" membership grants you access to multiple locations and unlimited Conditioning Classes, typically priced at $99 per month. The top-tier "Champion" plan ranges from $99 to $129 per month, offering all the aforementioned benefits along with unlimited guest privileges, a 90-Day Fight Pass, and various discounts on additional services. Each membership includes standard strength and cardio access, as well as complimentary entry to UFC Pay-Per-View Fight parties—a significant perk for dedicated fans of the sport. If you're already planning to purchase their PPV events, which have recently reached $79.99, securing a membership could practically feel like getting a free pass.

  • Yearly fees vary between $39 and $59, and are charged within 60 days after registration. Additionally, many fitness clubs require payment for both the first and last month's dues in advance.
  • In our findings, we've encountered enrollment fees ranging from $25 to $40, in addition to a $59 processing fee. However, our research has also revealed a few locations that do not impose a processing fee at all.

Additional info about

Final thoughts โ€” Is worth it?

UFC Gym seamlessly blends various fitness elements, creating an ideal environment for those passionate about combat sports such as kickboxing, MMA, boxing, and more. This gym fosters a strong community for enthusiasts while also offering traditional workout options that include weights, strength training equipment, cardio sessions, basketball, and saunas. The combination of these distinct yet complimentary fitness worlds in one place is likely a key factor in the gym’s popularity and success. With membership fees ranging from $59 to $129 per month, it represents a notable increase compared to budget gyms at $9.99/month or mid-tier options at around $39.99. But is the investment worthwhile? For many, the answer is yes, especially if they appreciate group fitness classes (like boxing conditioning, kickboxing, and HIIT), enjoy attending pay-per-view fight parties, and take advantage of specialized equipment such as turf, strength equipment, the Octagon, mats, and heavy bags. Choosing UFC Gym over alternatives like LA Fitness or Esporta is a choice that often favors the above offerings while generally sacrificing pools, basketball courts, saunas, steam rooms, massage services, and tanning. However, there are some exceptions; among UFC's 71 locations, 6 have pools, 5 include childcare services, and 3 feature basketball. Therefore, potential members should evaluate individual UFC gyms in their area to determine their best fit. Overall, the versatility that UFC Gym provides is appealing, and we are confident that many others share this sentiment. It stands out as a fantastic option for comprehensive health and wellness, making UFC Gym a worthwhile investment!
